When you see a project you want to contribute to (like a school or social service in your area), you can click "Notify Me" even if they're still finalising details about the tamariki (children) who'll receive koha.
Once a child or recipient becomes available to match with, we'll send you an email letting you know the project is open. You can then head over and sign up to be matched!
Just be aware that because our community is so caring, sometimes more people click "Notify Me" than there are recipients in that project. This means you might get the notification, visit the project, and find it's already full.
That's actually awesome! It shows how many people in your area want to help. If this happens, you can:
Check out other projects in your area
Click "Notify Me" on another project that interests you=
The "Notify Me" function helps us get projects up and running while coordinators are still organising. It means tamariki don't have to wait as long to be matched, and you get first word when opportunities open up.
Together, we can make sure every project finds its community.
