# Posting or Couriering Your Gift

Can't drop off in person? Posting or couriering your gift is a completely valid option — here's how.

Not every gifter lives close to their matched project, and that's okay — posting or couriering your gift is a completely valid option.

## Is it allowed?

Yes. If you can't drop your gift off in person — whether that's because you live in a different city, don't have suitable transport, or simply can't make the drop-off window — you're welcome to post or courier it to the drop-off address shown on your **Your Koha** tab.

## What to include

- Make sure the **initials, age, and gender label** is clearly attached to the gift itself (not just written on the outer courier packaging, which will be removed when it's unpacked).

- If you can, let us know it's on the way — a quick message with your courier tracking number helps us follow up if anything seems to go missing, and means we won't chase you thinking it hasn't been sent.

## Confirming it arrived

The most reliable way to confirm delivery is your courier's own track-and-trace service. Beyond that:

- Once it's delivered, you can mark your gift as **Dropped Off** on Koha Tree yourself (see **After You've Dropped Off**).

- If you'd like extra reassurance, you're welcome to ask us to check with the school or organisation once your tracking shows it's arrived.

## Timing

Please allow a few extra days for postage or courier delivery compared to an in-person drop-off, especially in the lead-up to Christmas when courier networks are busiest. If you're posting close to the drop-off date, sending it a few days earlier than you might otherwise is a good idea.
